You ARE supposed to (in theory ) be able to UPDATE a romset with ClrmamePro IF you have the update packs.
Hi :) you can't convert from an old to a later version (as it requires files you don't have), only convert from a later to an older version. this is why I don't understand why the switch was made in RetroPie to such an utterly (currently) inaccessible said in Many previously working Final Burn Alpha games no longer boot up after 4.1 update.: Even if I'll never use even 90% of the romset, I like the option to be available to me, you know?.
39/0.175 Romset you're talking about only has 1,519 out of the 4,374 roms the full 0.175 romset is supposed to have. Said in Many previously working Final Burn Alpha games no longer boot up after 4.1 neogeo and CPS(123) will be the same as in the mame.
